I am delighted to be writing this letter to you as Cartel’s new Branch Manager for the Prairies Region.

Over the last 13 years, I have worked with large telecommunication network providers and small independent business. I have worked on large national cellular build programs, in-building DAS, and new site construction. During my career, I have discovered that finding and providing the right communication solution is what motivates and moves the industry.

I once traveled in the middle of winter up to the top of Northern British Columbia, right on the border of the North West Territories. I drove my work truck up the old Alaska highway and through a blizzard to assist with a 200-foot self-support tower construction and cellular repeater install on a construction site for a large Oil and Gas client. There were more than 50 construction workers on that site, most of which had been away from their families for weeks or months on end. It was our job to get this remote site communicating.

That day, it was frosty and overcast. Before we could work, we had to dig out some of our equipment that was buried under the dump of snow that fell overnight. We did get to work though and the install team commissioned the repeater and did the final alignment on the donor antenna. By the time I climbed down from the tower I discovered everyone, for the first time on that site, was receiving phone calls and text messages from friends and family.

When I think about what’s been most fulfilling about my career thus far, it starts and ends with interactions like that one. Although not every relationship means climbing a 200-foot tower in minus 30-degree weather, knowing you’ve made someone’s life better by helping them communicate, always means you’ve done something worthwhile.

I am here to help grow Cartel throughout the Prairies. I was born in Alberta and have worked across Saskatchewan and Manitoba. I know the strengths and opportunities for communications in the area. Working with the Langley head office, as well as our National team, I will provide quality solutions within the region.

If you have any questions about communication projects in the Prairies, please feel free to reach out. I look forward to finding and providing the solution that will improve your communication needs and infrastructure.

Sincerely,
Jeff Clark
